Peter Pan first appeared as a play by J M Barrie in 1904, before the author wrote a novel of it seven years later. Peter Pan was animated by Walt Disney in 1953 as an adventure fantasy film. Barrie gave the copyright to London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital.
