An interesting new addition to our collection. Original concept art by artist Vic Fair as he went through the design process of making the movie poster for the 1983 film, The Lords of Discipline.

Vic Fair also designed the iconic Man who Fell to Earth poster.

The film was directed by Franc Roddam and stars David Keith as Will McLean.
It is based on the 1980 novel of the same name by Pat Conroy.
The plot follows a senior cadet at a Southern military academy who is tasked with protecting the school's first Black cadet from a secret society known as "The Ten".

We've enjoyed chatting with passers by and hearing about visits to the cinema to see #wickedmovie
and have been asked for posters. Sadly not yet. But we can't wait to go see the movie when we get the chance.

But we do have a very very special set of original and vintage lobby cards from the Wizard of Oz - the 1939 MGM musical fantasy based on the 1900 novel by L. Frank Baum.

We also show here a few of our favourite Castro cinema special posters created for their showing of the Wizard of Oz. What a classic.

A very poignant quote from Frankie and Johnny 1966 that could have been written today. The film features Elvis Presley and Donna Douglas.

We were very excited to find this original poster in Japan this year, tucked away in a small second hand bookstore off the beaten track. It's been beautifully hand framed now to conservation standards and is a little tucked away on our stall.

We do get asked a lot for Elvis originals so we have a couple of others in the collection ready to find their forever homes.
